A gym member portal you can use right now.

Iron Works Fitness is a gym we made up to show what a custom portal does on an ordinary day. Sign in as a member or as the owner. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

Preview of the Iron Works Fitness demo: the owner dashboard with check-ins, dues and an approval waiting, and the member app showing days left, a streak and the next class.

Two accounts, one gym

Use the buttons to sign in with one click, or type the details on the demo's own sign-in screen.

Things to try

  • See today's check-ins, dues and who is about to lapse
  • Approve or edit a win-back message before it is sent
  • Approve Priya's freeze request and watch her end date move
Sign in as the owner

Worth trying: open the member view and the owner view in two tabs, side by side. Book a class or ask for a freeze as Priya, and it arrives on the owner's screen without a refresh. That shared, live record is the whole point of a portal.

What is inside

Eight working screens, split the way a gym is: the people who train, and the people who run the place.

What members see

  • Home

Days left on their plan, visits this month, a weekly streak, the next class and a check-in code for the door.

  • Classes

Seven days of timetable with filters, live capacity, waitlists, a daily booking limit and a late cancellation rule.

  • Membership and payments

Plan details, auto-renew, payment history with receipts, paying a due, and requesting a freeze.

  • Profile

Contact details, an emergency contact, and a choice of WhatsApp, email or SMS for messages.

What the owner and front desk see

  • Today

Check-ins, active members, dues outstanding, renewals due this week, a live door feed and a to-do list.

  • Members

A searchable register filtered by active, expiring, overdue and frozen, with a full record for each person.

  • Classes

Fill rates for the week, who is booked into each class, and who is waiting for a place.

  • Approvals and automations

Rules you switch on and off, a log of every message sent, and a queue of anything that needs a person.

Automation, with a person still in charge

The screen most owners spend longest on is Approvals and automations, because it answers the real worry about automating anything: what if it sends the wrong thing?

  1. 01

Routine messages go out on their own

Receipts, class reminders and waitlist places are predictable and low risk. They are sent automatically and every one is logged, so you can always see what went out and when.

  2. 02

    Anything personal waits for you

A note to a regular who has stopped coming, or a delicate chase for an overdue renewal, is drafted with the reason it was flagged. You approve it, edit it or bin it.

  3. 03

Members' requests land in the same queue

A freeze request from the member app sits next to the drafts, with the dates and the new end date worked out, so there is one place to make decisions.

An honest note about this demo

Iron Works Fitness is not a real gym and not one of our clients. Every member, coach, class and payment is invented, and the prices are placeholders rather than advice on what to charge.

Everything you do stays in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else, no payment is taken, and no message is delivered. Use Reset demo at the top of the screen to start again at any time.

It is also not a product we sell off the shelf. It shows the kind of thing we build, and a real one would be shaped around your plans, your timetable and the way your front desk already works.

What it takes to build one for your gym

Less than most owners expect, because the hard part is knowing your rules, and you already do.

It starts with a conversation about how the gym actually runs: your plans and what they include, how classes and waitlists work, how members pay, and what the front desk spends its day chasing. The gyms and fitness studios page covers the problems we usually find.

From that you get a fixed written quote, itemised module by module, so you can start with renewals and payments and add classes later if that suits you. How our pricing works explains what moves the number.

The portal itself is built to your rules and your brand, your member register comes across from the spreadsheet, and you own the code and the data. There is more on the client portals service page.
